Graphing Linear Equations 3.3

3.3 More with Graphing and Intercepts
a. Find the intercepts of a linear equation, and graph using intercepts.
b. Graph equations equivalent to those of the type x = a and y = b

Objective a
Find the intercepts of a linear equation, and graph using intercepts.

Example A Consider 5x + 2y = 10. Find the intercepts. Then graph the equation using the intercepts.

Example B Graph y = 4x

Objective b
Graph equations equivalent to those of the type x = a and y = b.

Example C Graph y = 2

Example D Graph x = -2
